Pros

  • Fits on almost Everything
  • Easy to Install
  • Easy to Use
  • Durable

Cons

  • People borrow and don't return

Best Uses

  • Large Cars

  • Small Cars

Comments:

This is my Go-To rack when I bum a ride to a remote start ride. My friends say "Bum a Ride" I prefer the term "Bike Pooling", but you get the idea. Tip: Don't let your buds see how easy it mounts, or you will be their Go-To guy when they need a rack for that "Quick Trip to the Bike Shop"

Comments:

Love the sleek look of this rack! Great not having to deal with any straps! My only complaint is that it's a little hard for me to install this rack on my SUV. I'm very short so reaching up to get it secured and loaded is a little tricky. Outstanding rack nonetheless. Best one out there for your trunk!!

The SUPERBones rack has a great design and in my opinion, the best in the market. The strap system is clean and very efficient to use. This rack is very solid when mounted to my vehicle and only take a minute or two to install or remove. The locking features are the BIGGEST bonus since it is hard to find any locking trunk racks on the market. Saris nailed it with this one!

Great rack easy to put on and remove, and very stable which is great not having to keep looking back in the rear view mirror checking all's well.

What was great about this rack is the versatility of being able to move it from car to car to car. I travel extensively for work, and many times will rent a car to drive from home to the location, if within a 10 - 12 hr drive radius (or anywhere in the state of Florida). This means when I take my bike, I may not know what kind of car I'm going to be using. This rack has done them all, including our SUV, without issue. Two bikes, three bikes, or even just one. I've never had an issue.

          Comments:

Always a bit leery of trunk racks for stability and potential damage to my car but I'm a fan of this one, with no issues with either. I can fit my bike along with my two kids' bikes with limited issues. I do have to be careful of where the pedals are placed in relation to each other but that's not unexpected. Other than that little detail I'm a happy camper!

            Comments:

I've had the original bones rack since the late 90s. Loved the locking feature on this new model and the swivel straps . Still way cheaper than installing a hitch and getting a tray style of rack when all is said and done . Carry a carbon full suspension and carbon road bike, cruiser e bike, and kids bikes. You can fit three bikes but need to be creative on pedal placement sometimes depending on frame design . But overall worth every penny .

You can not use it with 3 bikes; don't buy it.

I was told it worked with 3 bikes, or I would have bought the 2 bike version. I used it twice and it left 4 indentions on my car. I had a different brand bike rack for over 20 years and it never ruined my car. I wanted a rack that could carry 3 bikes, but this rack is the worst bike rack I have seen.

              Comments:

As much as I love my Saris Bones 2 which I bought over 5 years ago, buying the SUPERBones was a much needed upgrade for my car and bikes. I like the fact it has less straps to deal with and a lot easier/quicker to put on my 2010 Kia Soul. The built in locks are nice added feature to secure the rack to my car as well keep the bikes on the rack. I only wish the lock and cable for the bike reached through all of the bikes and not just to the one on the end (furthest from the car). It makes sense when traveling with 3 bikes, but traveling with just one or two bikes it would be nice have the lock reach to the bike closest to the car.
