In the mid-seventies, ASSOS introduced a completely new generation of cycling apparel that made thick, bulky, and heavy wool / acrylic garments obsolete. A new era of intelligent body insulation had begun. The objective is to keep your body’s internal micro-climate stable, warm and dry under various conditions. The advantage of the ASSOS wardrobe is its versatility. To fit yourself properly requires experience; it is up to you to experiment with different ASSOS garments in order to find your perfect kit according to the weather and riding conditions.

Capoforma™ was founded in 2004 in the San Francisco Bay Area of California, a region well known for its rich cycling heritage. The distinctive, European-inspired collection was launched by two visionary cyclists in response to the growing need for a new brand of modern cycling apparel. Born in 1906, our founder Emilio De Marchi, was a pioneer in cycling clothing.

He always loved all sports and cycling in particular and a few months after end of World War 2, he opened what was then called “maglificio sportivo”. Today, one hundred years after Emilio De Marchi’s birth, and sixty years after the Founding of the company originally called “maglificio sportivo”, and now called De Marchi Sport, we are probably the oldest cycling clothing company still around. The same family has owned and operated De Marchi Sport for three generations with the same mission as always: design and create the best cycling clothing on the market.

The Europeans allowed for an apparent fluke in the 1986 Tour de France as American Greg LeMond raced to victory. But when an upstart American team, wearing Descente clothing, put its young American captain, Andy Hampsten, on the top of the podium at the 1987 Tour of Switzerland, the cycling world thought it had seen it all. Imagine the shock on the Euros’ faces when in 1988, the same skinny kid from North Dakota and the same 7-Eleven team, wearing the same Descente uniforms, won the Giro d’Italia in a dramatic snowstorm over the Gavia Pass.

A manufacturing and distribution company specialized in the design of high-quality sporting goods, such as cyclewear, helmets and accessories, clothing and accessories for cross-country skiing and outdoor activities, helmets for alpine skiing, clothing for children, custom clothing for teams and corporations as well as bikes and fitness equipment.

Giordana technical bicycle clothing was started by the owner of Gita Sporting Goods, Ltd., Giorgio Andretta, in 1980. From the beginning Gita designed, imported and distributed Giordana apparel, while at the same time, worked closely with the biggest American teams and events of the day. The list of partnerships included Levi's/Raleigh, which evolved into Levi's/Pinarello, Bud Light, Dia-Compe/Aspen Velo, the US PRO Championships and numerous others. This involvement with elite athletes provided invaluable feedback and insured that the clothing met the needs of American enthusiasts yet retained the authenticity of true Italian race wear.
